Spring Awaits

Old Goose Craft "Leather Biker" Jacket  | Asos Petite "Short Sleeved with Peter Pan Collar" Blouse | Freak of Nature "New York Doll Pinafore in Tartan" Dress | Shoeby "Statement Arrow" Necklace | Cartier "Round" Watch | Asos "Front Tab Detail" Bag | Invito "High Biker" Boots

It took a little while, but here's a new look again. While we were shooting these photo's this morning there were these big grey clouds coming right at us, so we had to hurry a little bit. We were busy with the last photo's when it started to rain, so I'm not really pleased with my the photo from my boots, but oh well. What can you do about it?

I'm so happy spring is around the corner! The days are getting longer and warmer, even though it can be cold again all of a sudden. It has a positive influence on me. I've been really happy lately. Guess it's a combination of great weather, eating healthy and working out a lot (it took me years to start, but I finally did it).

Cake X 4

Recipes from Linda Lomelino

So this is a massive overload from pictures... Sorry about that, but I couldn't choose which one I liked better and I just wanted to show them all. I've been getting more and more into this culinary photography, so I'm trying to improve myself. Also baking cakes for photo's isn't too bad either! These were all just too good. Especially the blue berry cardamom cake, yumm.

Eitherway, my apologies for the lack of outfits. I really would love to post something, but I don't have the pictures. My photographer a.k.a boyfriend has been busy with some stuff, so we don't have the time to make them. Though we're trying to make them this saturday.

Instagram // Life

9. Matching sets are most definitely my favourite trend. This set is from Sister Jane. 10. I came to the conclusion that I like prints. Especially if it's a jacquard fabric.

I know it's been a while since my last post. Especially an outfit post. One of my new years resolutions was shooting 2 outfit per week, but I broke that one the first week of January. And I can't forget I thought it was too cold to make photo's outside without a coat.
Anyhow, hereby so some instagram shots to post at least something and I'm trying to show something new soon. Somehow I get the feeling now that will take at least 2 weeks when I'm saying this.

When it's cold

Catarzi "Exclusive to Asos Classic Fedora" Hat | Asos "with V Neck in Floral Jacquard Skater" Dress  | Vero Moda "Oversized Long Boyfriend" Cardigan | And Mary "Rockinghorse" Necklace | Zara "Oversized Leather Duffle" Bag | Zara "Over the Knee" Boots

This is what I wore last Saturday (and Sunday for the pictures) and these boots and cardigan are on my winter wardrobe staple. I honestly hate it to say that something is on my staple, but it's true. Got the boots on sale and they're actually a size too big, but not like that a pair of tights and some good socks can't fix. I was so happy when I found them. Got them for half off! Just like the bag. I wanted it last summer, but thought it was too pricey and now, same as the boots, half off.
About the cardigan, I already have it for 2 years now, I have lost 4 buttons and it's still high on my list. It just does it so well on these cold and windy winter days.

Winter Baking

Gingerbread cake with Sugared Cranberries through Call me Cupcake
Brownie cake with merengue frosting through the book Lomelino's Cakes (Trendy Taarten)
Baking really has been a wonderful thing to do for me and I'm seriously considering making it my job. That's why I did a pastry course 2 weeks ago to introduce me to that world and I really liked it. It's hard work, but that never stopped me doing anything (except when it comes to working out).

Anyhow, these are some things I made the past weeks. I made the gingerbreadcake last week, the winterwonderland cake for Christmas, the browniecake for a birthday and the macarons and chocolatechip cookies were one of the things we made at the pastry course. I'm a big macarons fan, especially from Ladurée. But geez, I really need to say these were almost as good!

I'm starting to begin to develop my own recipes, so I can start a baking blog. So perhaps in the near future I can show cakes that really are 'my own'.
